AN UPDATE – RE-DEVELOPMENT OF FORMER KANGOL FACTORY SITE, CLEATOR, WEST CUMBRIA
The re-development of the former Kangol factory site in Cleator, West Cumbria continues to go from strength to strength. Walton Goodland have completed the lettings of Unit A1 and A2. Both comprise newly refurbished light industrial units. Having received considerable interest in the site our client is also in legals having agreed to construct a new 10,000 sq ft plus unit and compound with a national operator along with progressing two further design and build options. Our client will shortly be embarking on the construction of new speculative light industrial space on the estate buoyed by the level of demand received. The letting of the adjoining former factory site land and creation of a 600nr space park-and-ride facility for Sellafield Limited has established the location as a key strategic site offering excellent nearby access to the A595, Sellafield and the west Cumbrian coast.
